Using the layers in Icon Composer

Open Icon Composer, add background.png as the back layer and foreground.png on top. Preview light and dark, then export for Xcode.

What size is an App Store icon?

1024×1024 pixels, square, with no transparency. Apple rounds the corners for you.

What size is a Google Play icon?

512×512 pixels, 32-bit PNG, up to 1 MB.

What is a layered icon?

An icon split into a background and a foreground. Apple's Icon Composer uses the layers to add depth and light, and to make dark and tinted versions.

Can I use my own character?

What if I don't like it?
