How Roblox badges work
A badge is an award players get for doing something in your game, like beating a hard level or playing for an hour. It shows in their inventory, and on your game's page.
Here are Roblox's rules for the picture:
- Start from 512×512 pixels. That's the template size Roblox asks for.
- Expect a circle. When you upload, Roblox trims your square picture into a circle. The corners disappear, so keep text and faces in the middle.
- 5 free badges a day. You can make up to 5 badges for free per game in each 24 hours (GMT). After that, each extra badge costs 100 Robux.
To add a badge, open the Creator Dashboard, click ⋯ on your game, and pick Create Badge.

Questions
What size should a Roblox badge be?
Use a 512×512 pixel square. Roblox cuts it into a circle when you upload it, so keep the important part in the middle.
Why does my badge look cut off?
Roblox crops every badge into a circle. Anything in the corners gets cut. Turn on the circle preview above and move your main thing to the center.
How many badges can I make for free?
Up to 5 per game every 24 hours (GMT). After that, each extra badge costs 100 Robux. Roblox can change this, so check the Roblox docs.
Is my picture uploaded anywhere?
No. The badge maker runs in your browser. Your picture never leaves your device, and you don't need an account.
